MEChA's mission is to educate and in form students about educational, political and social consciousness, as well as providing guidance and resources that will benefit individuals in their path to success. MEChA de SMC Spring 2011 goals: Our goal is to inform students of this campus about AB540 students and to create a long-term scholarship program. We also want to outreach to high schools to guide them in the right direction for a better and higher education. Lastly, we are advocating for the creation of a M.E.Ch.A library system among the members !See you at the meetings!

Today we would like to share with you a great job opporunity as a Project Coordinator. Be aware of the deadline since this position is going to be filled very quickly.

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Description: The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and/or Project Management group(s) with administrative duties associated with a project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Copying and printing, as required.

· Keep and maintain a Things-To-Do-List with the Project Team

· Provide and maintain meeting minutes for all Staff, project specific meetings.

· Prepare operation and maintenance manuals, guarantees and submit in accordance with

specification requirements on each project.

· Send out Customer Surveys

· Assist PMs to submit monthly payment applications with project required paperwork.

· Keep accurate billing log and projections.

· Log in all new Prime Contracts into document control system (ProLog).

· Mail and fax distribution

· Shipping (UPS, Airborne, Fed-Ex, Regular US Mail) & preparation of transmittals

· Track freight claims

· Obtain credit invoices from vendors

· Other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• College degree with coursework in some technical area.

• 2yrs Construction industry experience in an administrative role – i.e. Project Coordinator,

Project Assistant or Contracts Administrator

• Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft office; specifically Excel, Word and

PowerPoint

• Ability to read plans and specifications
